Installing gearbox

Installation of transmission spend in reverse order, observing the following points:
- The drive shaft spline connection, clean and treat the lubricant G 000 100;
- If the clutch disc has been removed, it must be put on the slot of the primary shaft of the gearbox and check how it glides back and forth along the shaft;
- When installing the transmission check the location of the intermediate plate of the engine and put the transmission in the guides;
- Check whether there are in the cylinder block guides to align it with the transmission. Otherwise, remove the guides of the gearbox, and insert them in the engine block;
- Raise the gearbox to the jack, set it to the correct position, get a grip and put in on the guides of the engine. If when installing the gearbox output shaft is not included in the splines of the hub clutch plate, ask the assistant to turn a little bit the hand of the crankshaft back and forth, pulling for that of the V-belt. Once the gearbox will be in front of the engine, tighten the screw and easily one of the bolts;
- Screw the remaining three screws on the gearbox, located on the lower surface, and tighten them to a torque of 80 Nm;
- Set the starter, tighten its bolts and tighten them to a torque of 45 Nm;

- Mount the mounting bracket (see. Fig. 246) suspension Transmission and pre-tighten the bolts by hand;

The locations of the screws (1 and 2) from the gearbox suspended
Fig. 245. The locations of the screws (1 and 2) from the gearbox suspended

- Adjust the position of the engine and transmission to each other and tighten by hand mounting suspension (see. Fig. 245);

Fixing equalizer (pendulum) suspension Transmission
Fig. 244. Fixing equalizer (pendulum) suspension Transmission: 1 - balance-suspension; 2 - bolts and nuts equalizer suspension

- Mount the counterweight (pendulum) (see. Fig. 244) suspension transmission. Tighten bolts and nuts and tighten them to a torque of 100 Nm;
- Tighten the bolt 1 (see. Fig. 245) suspension mounting to 20 Nm, and a nut on the bolt 2 to 100 N ? m;
- Tighten the screws (see. Fig. 246) suspension mounting to 90 Nm;
- Establish a new thrust washer on the left end of the drive shaft;
- Insert the drive shaft into the left slot and push it a short push, if necessary, tap on the outer end of the shaft with a plastic hammer so that the snap ring fell into a groove on the inner side of the differential gear;
- Insert the wheel hub of the left outer end of the drive shaft;
- Establish a new thrust ring at the end of the right drive shaft;
- Insert the right drive shaft in the same way as the left. Retaining ring must get into his groove and snap into place;
- Establish a lock ring of the intermediate shaft;

Bolts (arrows) of the bearing of an intermediate shaft
Fig. 247. Bolts (arrows) of the bearing of an intermediate shaft

- Insert the intermediate shaft (Fig. 247), if necessary, type in the shaft with a plastic hammer;
- Tighten the mounting bearing intermediate shaft torque 27 Nm;
- Set the connecting rod with an amortization rack. Tighten the nut torque of 100 Nm;

- Connect the wheel bearing housing (knuckle) with the ball and tighten the two screws (see. Fig. 242) Support arm mounting arm to knuckle torque 55 Nm;
- Establish a head of the tie rod. Tighten the nuts to 30 Nm and then tighten them another 90 ?;

Nuts of fastening (arrow) right support of the engine mount

- Mount the right mounting suspension (see. Fig. 241) of the engine. Tighten the nuts to 50 N ? m;
- Tighten the upper bolts of a transmission to the engine and tighten them to a torque of 80 Nm;
- Tighten the wire of "weight";

Attaching the cable to the lever transmission
Fig. 239. Attaching cables to the gear lever: 1 - select lever; 2 - the lever of inclusion of transfers

- Insert the two cable clips to shift on the gearbox until it stops. Cable 1 (see. Fig. 239) is to cross the cable 2;
- Put on the ends of the cables to the appropriate levers on the gearbox. Cable 1 put on the select lever and the cable 2 on the lever of inclusion of transfers;
- Squeeze the pipeline in the holder on the gearbox and connect the clutch slave cylinder;
- Fix pipe clamp;
- Set the air filter;
- Establish the bottom casing of the engine compartment;
- Install the front wheels. Tighten the wheel and lower the car. Wheel bolts cross way tighten the moment 170 Nm. Tighten the center bolt of the hub;
- Attach the wire of "weight" to AB;
- Bleed the hydraulic clutch system (see. P. 9.4.3);
- Adjust the drive gear;
- Check the oil level in the gearbox. If insufficient refill the gearbox.
