Removing and installing wishbone

Mounting arm, stabilizer bar and the pendulum support to subframe
Fig. 291. Fastening arm, stabilizer bar and the pendulum support to subframe 1 - subframe; 2 - nut 55 Nm; 3 - Rubber Bearing; 4 - Self-locking nut, 100 Nm (always replace); 5 - mounting bracket; 6 - a bolt; 7 - the connecting rod; 8 - anti-roll bar; 9 - Self-locking nut, 100 Nm (always replace); 10 - M14x1,5 bolt, 65 mm long, 150 Nm + 90 ?; 11 - rear bearing arm; 12 - a bolt M14x1,5, length 95 mm 150 Nm + 90 ? (always replace); 13 - Ball Bearing; 14 - bolt 55 Nm; 15 - Self-locking nut, 55 Nm (always replace); 16 - wishbone; 17 - the bearing arm; 18 - bolt 90 Nm + 90 ?; 19 - bolt 100 Nm; 20 - Rubber Bearing; 21 - Pendulum Bearing; 22 - nut 100 Nm; 23 - a bolt

Figure 291 shows the elements of the front suspension. Dismounting wishbone front suspension:
- Install the front part of the car on support and remove the front wheel;
- Remove the engine protection;

Two bolts (shown by arrow) hold the bottom part of the ball bearing in the lower portion of the knuckle
Fig. 284. Two screws (shown by arrow) hold the bottom part of the ball bearing in the lower portion of the knuckle

Before removing the finger of a spherical support (see. Fig. 285), remove the nut 1 until the end of the thread
Fig. 292. Before removing the finger of a spherical support (see. Fig. 285), remove the nut 1 until the end of the thread

Remove the ball joint of the finger arm with a pulley puller
Fig. 285. Remove the ball joint of the finger arm with a pulley puller

- Unscrew the nut (Fig. 292). If you change only the ball joint, loosen the screws (see. Fig. 284) and remove the ball joint from the control arm (see. Fig. 285);
- Remove the bolts on the arm inside of the subframe and remove the wishbone. Sleeves remove the arm by means of a suitable mandrel.
Install in reverse order with respect to the process of withdrawal, in which:
- Use new bolts arm. Since the wishbone is attached by means of rubber bushings, then tighten its screws only when the vehicle is on the ground wheels;
- Tighten the ball joint to 55 Nm;
- If you have removed the ball joint of the thumb knuckle, then re-insert it all the way and screw a new nut. Nut tightening torque of 30 Nm and then tighten it further by 90 ?. If the finger of a spherical support is rotated, set in a 7 mm hex and tighten the nut.
