Check cooling fan

Fan failure can cause overheating of the engine. If the fan broke down during a trip, you should stop and let the engine cool down, and then at medium speed to get to the nearest service center. During a trip, observe the coolant temperature warning lamp and engine overheating. If necessary, stop for a while to allow the engine to cool.
If the fan does not turn on the heating of the engine at the proper time, check the temperature switch, located on the side of the radiator:
- Start the engine and let it run to the inclusion of the fan;
- Slowly remove the surge tank cap, gradually releasing the steam;
- Place a thermometer in the expansion tank. The temperature should be between 92-97 ? C. At this temperature, the fan operates at the first speed. At a temperature of 99-105 ? C the fan runs at high speed. If the fan does not turn, then pull the two wires of the thermal switch and connect them to each other. Turn on the ignition. The fan should turn on immediately. If this happens, replace the Switch, and then test again.
The fan motor is protected by a fuse that can burn. If the fuse is OK, check the fan motor:
- Disconnect the wires and plugs jumper between terminal red and black wire and the positive pole of the battery;
- Connect a jumper from terminal Brown wire to the negative pole of the battery.
If the fan does not work, replace it. The cause of the fault can be damaged wires.
