Refitting

The radiator was shot along with electric. Removing the radiator is a time-consuming work, so should be enough to remove a large amount of detail before, you can get to the radiator.
To remove the heat sink or fan motor is necessary to disconnect the battery, as with the ignition fan wires are live.
The procedure for removing the heat sink:
- Drain the coolant from the cooling system (see. P. 19.1.1), the lower coolant hose back, do not connect. Remove the expansion tank cap to the coolant flowed better;

Removing and installing front bumper

- Remove the front bumper (Fig. 462);
- Remove the grille;

- Remove the two headlights. Places mounting washers are shown in Fig. 463. Disconnect the plug from the back of the pads washers;

Removing the headlight washer pipe. The arrows indicate the location of the spring clips

- Remove the fixing lines (Fig. 464), if the car has headlight washers;

Removing the front bumper. The arrows indicate the location of the mounting bolts of the bumper

- Remove the front bumper (Fig. 465). Tighten the bolts by hand to secure the front spoiler;
- Disconnect the upper radiator hose;
- Disconnect the radiator hose pumping air. To do this, disconnect the plug connector and remove the hose clamp;
- Put the front of the vehicle on a support;
- Disconnect plug connector thermo switch Radiator fan and disconnect the plug connector of the mode switch of the fan;

Removing hose from the radiator discharge air. The arrows indicate the site of attachment hoses

- Disconnect the hose from the radiator discharge air (Fig. 466). Remove the right hose;
- Remove the charge air cooler (located below the engine radiator);
- Remove the fan and fan guard (each side by two screws) and remove together in a downward direction;

A warning
When working, do not damage the cells of the radiator.

- Remove the bolts of the radiator (2 screws on each side of the radiator). Carefully remove the radiator in a downward direction;
- If necessary, remove the radiator cover and the fan motor from the housing.
Installing the radiator in reverse order on the process of withdrawal. If you re-install the old radiator, the pre-clean it thoroughly. Before cleaning, remove the radiator cover (under it are all the insects trapped in the radiator). Remove large particles trapped in the radiator cell hosed water.

A warning
Very strong water pressure can damage the cells of the radiator.

Do not use metal objects to remove dirt from the radiator.
If the coolant drain you notice that the coolant has a dark color, rinse the radiator or the entire cooling system running water. This is easily done if the radiator is removed. Procedure:
- Set the radiator, without connecting the lower coolant hose;
- Insert the expansion tank a garden hose and let the water. See the state of the water flowing from the bottom. Washing can be stopped as soon as the water comes out clean. After the wash again, drain all the water from the cooling system and fill it with the coolant, as described in Sec. 19.1.1.
