Fuel filter

The arrow shows the drain plug to remove condensation. A filter is mounted clamp
Fig. 471. The arrow shows the drain plug to remove condensation. A filter is mounted clamp

The joints located on the upper portion of the fuel filter
Fig. 472. The terminal is located in the upper portion of the fuel filter: 1 - a hose to the fuel tank; 2 - a fuel injection pump; 3 - fuel return line from the fuel pump; 4 - the fuel return line to the fuel tank (arrow); 5 - locking clamp

The fuel filter should be replaced every 30 000 km, and every 15 000 km or 12 months should be exempt from the condensate accumulated therein. The filter is located in the engine compartment of the motor (Fig. 471). In Fig. 472 shows a filter on top where you can see the location on its joints. In order to gain access to the drain plug is necessary to lift the front of the vehicle.
To drain the condensation unscrew the threaded plug hole for removing air (shown by arrows in Fig. 471), which is located at the bottom of the filter and drain the fuel, together with water (about 100 cm) long, until it begins to flow only fuel without water . Then reinsert the plug.

View the fuel filter element (arrow shows the direction of the fuel, which should be followed when installing the fuel filter)
Fig. 473. The view of the fuel filter element (arrow shows the direction of the fuel, which should be followed when installing the fuel filter): 1 - the return line from the fuel pump; 2 - supply hose pump; 3 - O-ring; 4 - a control valve; 5 - locking collar; 6 - the return line to the fuel tank; 7 - supply hose from the fuel tank; 8 - the fuel filter; 9 - a lining; 10 - Condensate drain plug

The upper part contains a regulating valve which is attached spring collar 5 (Fig. 473). When replacing the filter, remove the spring clamp and remove the control valve with the pipes placed on it in an upward direction. A filter is fixed clamp (see. Fig. 471). If the connection to the control valve have been removed, they must be replaced in accordance with Fig. 472.
After you increase the engine speed, the fuel in the transparent fuel hose idling should proceed without any visible air bubbles.
