Precautions during repair work on the injection system

When repairing the power supply system, regardless of its volume, strictly observe cleanliness. The following instructions always observe when carrying out any work, however, we pay special attention to safety precautions when working in an electronic injection system:
- Always turn off the ignition before disconnecting or connecting wires of the injection device or preheating;

Elements of the power supply system of the engine in the engine compartment
Fig. 470. Elements of the power supply system of the engine in the engine compartment: 1 - solenoid valve choke the engine when the supercharged; 2 - Valve EGR; 3 - Electronic engine control unit; 4 - injector with needle lift sensor; 5 - the relay of additional heating elements; 6 - the gauge of temperature of the intake manifold; 7 - plug connector needle lift sensor; 8 - plug connector engine speed sensor; 9 - coolant temperature sensor; 10 - plug connector temperature sensor dispenser; 11 - check valve plug connector supplying fuel injection valve starts; 12 - fuel supply shut-off valve; 13 - dosing pump; 14 - air flow sensor

- Sometimes you need to scroll through the engine starter (for example, when testing compression). To prevent the engine start the engine, disconnect the plug of fuel shutoff valve block 12 (Fig. 470);
- Disconnect the wires AB only if the ignition is switched off to prevent damage to the system;
- Most of those shown in Fig. 470 elements are electronic or electric, so they should be treated with extreme caution.
General precautions:
- All work in the injection system can be carried out only under the strictest cleanliness. Outdoor system repairs in the injection can be performed only if there is no wind to avoid dust in the injection system.
- Before dismantling thoroughly clean all the parts and components from dust;
- Fold the removed parts on a clean surface and cover them with paper or polyethylene. Do not use chenille fabrics;
- Remove and clean the removed parts, which will not be set back;
- Check the cleanliness of all the parts installed;
- Do not use compressed air to blow other details, open the connection if the fuel system;
- Do not move the car if removed any elements of the fuel system;
- Do not spill diesel on the cooling hoses. Immediately clean the hose, if it happens. Replace contaminated with diesel fuel and thus damaged hoses. Pump can not be repaired. A faulty fuel pump, replace or give to the service station for repairs.
To adjust the time of the injection pump, as well as for his removal and installation is necessary to have a special tool. Adjusting the pump can be carried out only at the station with the help of special equipment.
