Refitting



Engine 2.0 L
Removal of the oil pump 2.0-liter engine performed as follows:
- Set the front of the vehicle on the box to gain access to the oil pan and oil pump;
- Remove the oil pan (see. Sect. 4.1);
- Remove the bolts of the oil pump housing;
- Remove the pump down, the pinion shaft of the pump to be released from engagement with the gear of the intermediate shaft, then pull it out completely;
- Remove the ignition distributor (since it would still need to be removed during installation of the pump).
Install the oil pump is carried out in reverse order, with the following recommendations:
- When installing the oil pump to the crankcase gasket is placed;
- Pump bolts tighten the moment 20 Nm;

- Before installing the ignition distributor, set landing neck oil pump drive shaft such that the pivot is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the crankshaft (Fig. 167);
- Set the ignition distributor and tighten bolts to 20 Nm (see chap. 8.3.2).
VR6 engine
Removal of the oil pump VR6 engine performed as follows:
- Set the front of the vehicle on a support, to gain access to the oil pan and oil pump;

- Remove the bolts (Fig. 168) securing the oil pump housing and the flange of the crankcase oil receiver;
- Remove the pump down, the pinion shaft of the pump to be released from engagement with the gear of the intermediate shaft, then pull it out completely;

- If you want to remove the pinion gear 5 (see. Fig. 165), then turn away bolts of 2 fastenings and remove the cover 3. The cover has an O-ring seal 4. Pull gear using wire cutters.
Install the oil pump is carried out in reverse order, with the following recommendations:
- When installing the oil pump to the crankcase gasket is placed, however, on the flange of oil receiver should be applied sealant AMV188 001 02;
- The mounting bolts of the oil pump tightening torque of 25 Nm and bolts oil receiver - 10 Nm;
- If the pinion gear was removed, then insert it into the hole on the upper side so as to come into engagement with the gear on the intermediate shaft;
- Well before installing grease with engine oil cap and an O-ring seal;

- Insert the drive shaft, set to cover an O-ring (Fig. 169);
- Tighten cover bolts to 10 N ?� m;
- Install the oil pan and tighten the drain plug oil torque 30 Nm.
