The fuel level sensor in the tank

The fuel level sensor includes a float and a potentiometer. With decreasing fuel level float drops, wherein the potentiometer associated with the float, increases the electrical resistance of the sensor. As a result the voltage falls and the fuel gauge needle moves in direction ?«leer?» (empty).

Removal of the sensor 30 (see. Fig. 206) the fuel level in the same way as the removal of the fuel pump, until such time until no flange 12. Then the pull arm from the fuel tank sensor by pressing its locking pawl.
When installing flange pay attention to its correct location.
