Changing the boot shaft flange

Extract the boot in the shaft flange (Fig. 3.162).
A - puller 22-115 mm, for example, Kukko 17/2.

A press-fit boot shaft flange (Fig. 3.163).
Install sleeve 3301/3 notch to A. Bellow

Withdrawal
Remove the front final drive.
Secure universal tool VW 771 on the right flange shaft.

Remove right flange shaft (Fig. 3.164).

Remove the O-ring shaft flange using a universal tool VW 771 and stripper 771/37 (Fig. 3.165).

Setting

Fitting the new sealing ring to the stop (Fig. 3.166).
Fill the space between working with the dust and sealing lips half with grease G 052 128 A1.
Check before you install the boot shaft flange damage. If necessary - replace the boot.

Removing the thrust ring

A stubborn old ring with pliers, remove from the groove of the shaft flange (Fig. 3.161).
The new thrust ring, do not stretch, set in the groove of the shaft flange.
Press in the shaft flange with a plastic mallet.
Install the front final drive.
Check the oil level in front final drive.
