Design and operation of the mechanism gear

The gear change mechanism
Fig. 5.49. The gear change mechanism 1 - a plug of inclusion of 5th transfer; 2 - Reverse gear; 3 - the plug of inclusion of 3rd and 4th transfers; 4 - plug the inclusion of 1st and 2nd transfers; 5 - axis gear; 6 - the ball joint; 7 - Rod shift; 8 - a fixed pivot; 9 - select lever; 10 - sheet gear; 11 - the switch of light of a backing; 12 - locking handle; 13 - return spring; 14 - the spherical hinge; 15 - rocker; 16 - the case of a gear change; 17 - nylon bearings; 18 - adjusting mechanism

The gear change mechanism consists of a shift transmission control mechanism, located in the passenger compartment on the tunnel, and an actuator located in the manual. Both of these mechanisms are connected to the rod 7 (Fig. 5.49).
The mechanism of management of gear change is a connecting link 15 mounted in the housing on two axes, gives it four degrees of freedom (ie, the movement of left and right, back and forth). The lower end of the scenes connected with the rod axis 7 gear connecting the rocker to the actuator manual.
The actuator consists of four rods 10 and a gear selection mechanism. Three stocks fixed forks 1, 3, and 4 switching gears from first to fifth. Plugs are in constant engagement with the corresponding synchronized switching gear couplings. The fourth stock is reverse idler gear. The selection mechanism transmits the movement of the rod 7 to shift some of the rods 10.
The gear change mechanism operates as follows. Rocker 15 passes on the post 7 rotational and reciprocating motion. The rotational movement of rod 7 is converted into reciprocation gear selection lever 9, i.e. He picks it up or down, thereby determines the choice of the stem 10.
The reciprocating movement of the bar 7 is converted into a rotary movement of the lever 9, gear selection, selected rod which shifts in one direction or another (reciprocally), moving means fixed to the rod and fork synchronized clutch including selected program.
To prevent accidental activation of the reversing mechanism in the scenes set 15 blocker, which is disabled upwards locking handle 12.
On the rod 7 has a gear mechanism 18, which allows the installation of the scenes and adjust the position of the rod relative to the actuator in the gearbox.
