Egnition lock



The ignition lock is anti-theft device, which locks the steering wheel, when removing the key.

If a key does not turn in the lock with ease, should be slightly turn the steering wheel from left to right, at the same time turning the key in the ignition switch (Fig. 2.6).

A WARNING
Never remove the key from the ignition switch while driving or when towing, as with the steering wheel can lock up and the car becomes unmanageable.

The ignition switch has the following positions of the key (Fig. 2.7):
- 0 - locked position, the steering wheel is locked when the ignition key is removed from the ignition, all the powerful energy consumers are de-energized;
- I - intermediate position "radio": in this position the key may work, some electrical consumers (eg radio), the ignition is turned off;
- II - normal riding position: the key is in this position when driving, all consumers of energy may be included;
- III - Start position of the motor (not fixed) with the position of the ignition key is turned starter (immediately after the engine starts, release the key, which by spring will automatically revert back to the normal position (II).

NOTE
If the engine does not start, it means that the ability to activate the immobilizer or key code is read incorrectly, or used the wrong key. It should: check the key, turn the key back to position "0" and try to re-start the engine.
