Check and adjust headlights



Check and adjust the headlights to spend curb car (with full fuel tank, a set of tools and spare wheel).
You will need a Phillips screwdriver with a blade.
1. First check and if necessary top up the tire pressure.

2. Place the vehicle perpendicular to the smooth wall (eg garage) at a distance of 3 m. Put the driver's seat an additional mass of 75 kg. Mark on the wall of the screen, as shown in Fig. 4.6. The longitudinal plane of symmetry of the car should pass through the 0 on the screen. Push the car side to samoustanovilis spring suspensions.
3. Measure the height of your vehicle centers range from the floor. This will be the distance h on the screen.
4. Set the electroproof headlights on the instrument panel in a position corresponding to the load of the car with one driver.
5. Turn on the dipped beam.
6. The direction of the light spot is recommended to adjust to each headlamp separately. Second spotlight during adjustment, close the opaque material.
7. Open the hood and turn the adjusting screws, adjust the position of the light spot on the screen for each lamp Horizontal ...
8. ... and vertically, if the location of the light spots are not shown in the illustration.
9. Lights considered regulated when the upper boundary of the left sides of light spots coincide with the line 4 (see. Fig. 4.6), and the vertical lines 1 and 2 pass through the points E1 and E2 of intersection of the horizontal and sloping portions of light spots.
If the vehicle is fitted fog lights, the direction of the beam needs to be adjusted for height only. Turn the adjustment screw until you get to the upper border of light spots in the line of 4 or below it.
