Repair differential

One reason for the increased noise in the gearbox can be worn or damage parts of the differential.
You will need: face head "15" universal puller Tool for fitting bearings, flat-blade screwdriver, piercer hammer.
1. With strong worn speedometer drive gear teeth replace gear. To do this, spread the ends of the retaining ring with a screwdriver and a screwdriver at the same time the second slide on a pin differential gear box with the ring.
2. To replace worn or damaged bearing it with Xpress pins of the differential housing.
WARNINGS
Bearings, compressed manner shown, the reset is not suitable as a separator is damaged. Therefore, without the need to disassemble the differential bearings. When replacing the bearings of differential required to replace the outer ring, mounted in the adjusting nut and the bearing cap (see. "Disassembly and assembly of transmissions and Troubleshooting of its parts").

3. Remove the ten bolts fastening ring gear to the differential housing.
4. Mark the relative position of gears and boxes ...
5. ... and setting a focus gear, press out of it differential box with light hammer blows through a drift of a soft metal.
6. Knock beard 3.2 mm locking pin axis of satellites ...
7. ... take it from a differential box ...
8. ... and remove the pinion gear shaft.
9. Turning gear differential, take out a box of differential satellites ...
10. ... and the side gears with support washers.
11. Inspect the working surfaces of the teeth and satellites ...
12. ... slots and teeth of the side gears. With strong wear on the surfaces of the teeth and slots, chipping teeth replace gear differential.
13. Inspect bearing washer gears. When visible wear washers replace them.
14. Inspect the surface of the differential housing in areas where support washers gears. If heavy wear surfaces, replace the differential case.
15. Small bumps on the stub axle, remove the satellites fine sandpaper. When galling to the neck of the metal satellites or their unilateral wear, replace the axle.
16. In the presence of chipping, chipping and significant development of teeth driven pinion replace gear.

NOTE
When you replace the ring gear must be replaced at the same time and the pinion gear (output shaft), since these gears are selected and set noise only in a pair.

17. Collect the differential in the reverse order, taking into account the following:
- Locking pin axis of satellites is pressed into the opening of the differential housing on the side in which it beat;
- Differential bearings pressed onto the pins of the differential housing, applying a force to the inner ring;
- Before the overmolded pin differential gear box speedometer drive gear, heat in an oil bath to 80 ? C;
- The ring gear is pressed onto a box of differential, having combined labels put at dismantling and heating gear in an oil bath to a temperature of 100 ? C;
- Threaded bolts of the driven gear grease anaerobic thread lock, tighten the bolts evenly crosswise. Finally, tighten the bolts to 70 Nm (7.0 kgf-m).
