Replacement seals gearbox



You will need: face head "10" driver with an extension cord, a flat-blade screwdriver, a hammer, a mandrel.
1. To replace the stuffing box half-line, remove the drive wheel to be replaced by the gland (see. "Removing and installing front wheel drive").
2. Remove the oil seal using a screwdriver.
3. Coat the lip of a new oil seal with gear oil and the press in its mandrel of suitable diameter inside the working edge of the box.
4. Input shaft lip seal is replaced by a vehicle removed from the gearbox after removing the release bearing (see. "Replacing the fork and release bearing"). Remove the three screws on the guide sleeve bearing clutch ...
5. ... and remove the guide sleeve.
6. mandrel of suitable diameter (eg, face head, "26"), press out the oil seal ...
7. ... and out of the sleeve.
8. Lubricate the lip of a new oil seal with gear oil and its press in the sleeve of the same mandrel, oriented so that when you install the hub gland working edge was directed inside the gearbox.
9. Install the parts in reverse order of removal.

NOTE
To replace the stuffing box shaft gear necessary to remove and disassemble the gearshift (see. "Repair of the gearshift").
