Repair synchronizer



If the transfer is included unclear or with great effort or is not turned on, before disassembling the output shaft check the operation of the synchronizer: synchronizer clutch must be moved manually with little effort. If the movement of the sleeve is difficult (not moving or is moving with great effort), repair or replace the synchronizer assembly.
Spontaneous off gear indicates worn or damaged teeth synchronizer sleeve and gear rims.
Synchronizers I and II, and III and IV on the same transmission structure, therefore repair by the same methods.
You will need a screwdriver.
1. Before disassembly, label position relative to the coupling hub.
2. Having hooked a screw-driver ...
3. ... remove the two springs.
NOTE
The second spring is not visible on the image as it is located on the back side of the synchronizer.

4. Remove the three slots of the hub biscuit ...
5. ... and remove the sleeve from the hub.
6. Inspect parts synchronizer. Springs should not have signs of wear at the contact points with the breadcrumbs.
7. crackers must not be deformed, and the locking protrusions biscuits should not have significant deterioration.
8. The ends of the sleeve slots ...
9. ... and locking rings should not be chipping and jams.
10. The apparatus must not have nicks and slots for wear.
11. Installation of the locking ring on the cone of the respective gear rims gap between the ends and the ring gear must be not less than 1 mm, otherwise replace the synchronizer ring.
12. Collect synchronizer in reverse order, setting the sleeve on the hub in accordance with the labels put before dismantling.
