Crankshaft

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the timing belt front cover, flywheel, cylinder head and oil pan.
  2. Remove the rear cover from the cylinder and the rear crankshaft sealing ring.
  3. Unscrew the nuts and remove covers of rods.

Mark the crankshaft bearing caps of the crankshaft in order to set them into place, and in the same position.

  1. Remove the bolts and remove the bearing cover of the crankshaft main bearings and crankshaft.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the neck main and connecting rod bearings of the crankshaft for wear and generation. Check the oil holes on the crankshaft clogging.
2. micrometer measure diameters of necks of the crankshaft in two diametrically opposite directions. If you have a taper or oval pereshlifuyte crankshaft.

Diameter of radical necks: 60.002 - 60.020 mm
Diameter of rod: 50.008 - 50.026 mm

Inserts connecting rod and main bearings

Check the connecting rod and indigenous inserts the absence of local corrosion, development and other damage. If necessary, replace the pads.

Measuring the gap of indigenous and connecting rod bearings

To measure the backlash of radical bearings and rod diameters measure the crankshaft journals and the corresponding internal diameter of the bearing. Gap - the difference between the inner diameter of the bearing and a corresponding diameter of the crankshaft journal.

Clearance crankshaft bearing: 0.024 - 0.042 mm
Clearance connecting rod bearings of the crankshaft: 0,024-0,042 mm

Method Plastigauge

The most accurate and convenient measurement of backlash of radical bearings and rod with plastic rod calibrated Plastigauge

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Clean indigenous and crank pins of grease and lubrication holes blow compressed air.
  2. Install main bearing shells on the engine block. Cut pieces of plastic rod Plastigauge, equal to the width of bearing and place them along the axis of ear on the crankshaft bearing.
  3. Install the crankshaft main bearing shells in the cylinder block. In accordance with the markings set loose leaves of radical bearings and bearing cap. In certain sequence tighten bolts supporting the crankshaft bearing caps of the crankshaft. Do not turn the crankshaft when measuring the gap crankshaft bearing. Remove the bolts and remove the cover bearing crankshaft bearing. The measuring template measure width of deformed plastic core Plastigauge and define backlash size.

Oil seals

Check the front and rear oil seal rings for damage or wear and tear of working edges. If there are any defects, replace the O-ring.

Supporting bearing cover

After installing the bearing caps supporting cranked shaft and make sure that it rotates easily and smoothly, and its axial play corresponds to the values given in the specification. Crankshaft end play: 0.09 - 0.32 mm.

Plate drive

Override deformed, broken or cracked plate having drive.

Flywheel

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the condition of the surface of the flywheel contacting the clutch disc. If there is a significant deterioration replace the flywheel.
  2. Check flywheel runout surface in contact with the clutch plate. Heartbeat: 0.13 mm 3.
  3. Check the condition of the flywheel for damage and wear and replace it if necessary.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Install the upper main bearing shells with grooves for the oil supply to the engine block. When reinstalling the inserts install them on the same places where they were before removal.
  1. Install main bearing shells without grooves in the bearing cover crankshaft bearing.
  1. Install the lower central main bearing shells without grooves. Install the upper central main bearing shells with the groove.
  2. Before installing the crankshaft, apply a thin coat of clean engine oil to all sliding surfaces. Install the crankshaft main bearing shells in the cylinder block.
  3. Install bearing cover, while using the Loctite 5205.
  4. Torque tighten the bolts of the base plate. Torque: - 15 mm: 28-32 tighten on a corner 120 ? - 12 mm 33,7-37,7.
  5. Tighten the bolts 4 or 5 passes.
  6. Turn a cranked shaft and check that it rotates easily and smoothly. Establish a measuring tip of a dial indicator on the front end of the crankshaft. Move along the axis of the crankshaft until it stops and install the scale of dial gauge to zero. Move along the axis of the crankshaft in the opposite direction to stop and read the values of axial clearance on the scale indicator.
  1. Lubricate the outer surface of the new O-ring with engine oil. The special tool 09231-21000 install the O-ring until it stops in the slot cover.

Vehicles with manual transmission

  1. Install the flywheel and tighten the bolts tightened them in accordance with the specification. Torque: 70-80 N ??? m.

Cars with automatic transmission

  1. Install the drive plate and fix bolts tightened them in accordance with the specification. Torque: 70-80 N ??? m.
