Toothed belt

Withdrawal

Turn the crankshaft clockwise and align the timing marks to the piston in the first cylinder was established at top dead center on the compression stroke. At this time, the mark on the pulley of a camshaft and the cylinder head cover should be aligned and the dowel pin of the camshaft pulley must be at the top.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove ribbed belt and crankshaft pulley.
  2. Remove the cover of a gear belt.
  3. Remove the motor mount.
  1. For large head bolt turn toothed belt tensioning mechanism to align the support plate with a hole in the housing, then insert the retainer into the hole.
  1. Hex wrench, loosen the locking bolt.
  1. For the head of a large bolt, turn the toothed belt tensioner until it stops clockwise.
  1. Tighten the fixing bolt.
  1. Remove the timing belt.

Note the direction of rotation of the toothed belt to be reinstalled in its original position.

  1. Remove the hinge bolt and the automatic tensioning toothed belt.

Check

Pulleys, pulley mechanism of a tension of a gear belt and idler pulley

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. . Check the pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft, pulley tensioner and idler pulley to the absence of uneven wear, cracks or damage. Replace them as necessary.
  2. Check the ease and smoothness of rotation of the pulley tensioner and idler pulley, and the absence of background noise during rotation. Replace them as necessary.
  1. Replace pulleys if there is leakage of the lubricant.

The mechanism of automatic tensioning toothed belt

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check mechanism for automatic tensioning toothed belt for leaks and, if necessary, replace it.
  1. Check the tip for wear or damage and, if necessary, replace it.

Toothed belt

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the toothed belt for traces of oil, water or dust. If you need to replace the belt. Slight traces should be wiped with a dry cloth or paper. Do not clean the timing belt solvent.
  2. After repair of the engine or adjust the tension of the belt, check the belt. In the presence of these defects, replace the timing belt.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Install the crankshaft pulley on the crankshaft.

Pay particular attention to the mounting direction of the flange. If the pulley is not installed properly, it will cause damage to the toothed belt.

  1. Install the special washer and screw the pulley bolt to the crankshaft, and then tighten the bolt. Torque: 185-195 N ??? m.

Toothed belt

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the position of the timing marks.
    1. from the crankshaft: marks on the crankshaft pulley and rod to set the injection timing;
    2. from the camshaft: adjusting label on a pulley of a camshaft and the cylinder head.
  2. Install the tension mechanism.
  3. Establish a mechanism to automatically tension the timing belt.
  1. Tighten the pivot bolt. Torque: 50-55N ??? m.
  1. Install the timing belt.
Description
Defect
1. Rigid back surface of the toothed belt

The surface has a glossy appearance. The rigidity of the surface is such that the nail does not leave traces on the belt

2. Cracks in the back surface of the toothed belt
3. Cracks or bundle toothed belt
4. Badly worn teeth

Worn side of the tooth, thus becoming visible fiber cord and rubber base

5. Badly worn teeth (last stage)

Worn side of the tooth, thus becoming visible scrapes and reduce the thickness of the tooth

6. Cracks in the bottom of the teeth
7. Lack of tooth
8. Heavy wear one side of the belt

Normal belt should have a smooth side face as if trimmed with a sharp knife

9. The cracks on the side of the toothed belt
  1. Loosen the locking bolt while moving the lever mechanism of a tension and automatically will pull a gear belt.
  1. Rotate clockwise the crankshaft of the engine on two turns and check up combination of adjusting labels.
  1. Tighten the fixing bolt.
  2. Remove the retainer.
