Engine radiator fan of cars with diesel engines of 2.0 liters



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Disconnect the connector from the engine and the radiator fan harness from the casing.
  3. On vehicles with automatic transmission disconnect hoses from the oil cooler.
  4. Remove the four screws on the fan housing.
  5. Remove the cover with the motor cooling fan.
  6. Remove the clamp and separate the fan from the fan motor.
  1. Remove the three screws and remove the fan motor.

Check the engine cooling fan

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check that the engine cooling fan is rotated upon application of a voltage from the battery.
  1. Check that when the engine is no extraneous noise.

Check the radiator fan motor relay

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. With fuse and relay box in the engine compartment, remove the radiator fan motor relay.
  1. Ohmmeter check up conductivity between the terminals "2" and "4".

Setting

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.

Ensure that the radiator fan after installation is in contact with the casing.
