Check and adjust handbrake lever stroke



Pick up the parking brake lever with a force of about 196 N and count the number of clicks.

If the stroke of the parking brake lever (number of clicks) is not within the standard value, adjust the lever stroke by turning the adjusting nut on the leveler the parking brake cable (Fig. 6.8).
The warning lamp goes out when the brake is fully lowered and the parking brake lever lights when lifting the lever one tooth ratchet (clicking). If the warning lamp is different from the specified, replace the lamp.

After the adjustment, check that no tacking the rear brakes when fully lowered parking brake lever.
