Disconnect from the integrated control unit ABS (HECU) and motor pump ABS (Fig. 6.61).

Disconnect the brake pipes from the integrated control unit ABS (HECU).

Remove the bolt integrated control unit ABS (HECU), and then remove the unit.

ATTENTION

Never attempt to disassemble the integrated control unit ABS (HECU).

The integrated control unit ABS (HECU) must be transported and stored in an upright position with the holes plugged. Do not drain the brake fluid from the integrated control unit ABS (HECU) (ie, the hydraulic unit ABS).

Setting

Installation is the reverse order of removal.

Tighten the integrated control unit ABS (HECU) and brake pipe nuts to the specified torque.

Tightening torque bolts integrated control unit ABS (HECU): 8-10 Nm.

Nuts brake tubes: 13-17 Nm.
