Check engine oil level

1. Make sure the vehicle is on level ground.
2. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
3. Stop the engine and wait at least 5 minutes so that oil has flown down in the pallet.

4. Remove the control dipstick, wipe it clean and re-insert the probe until it stops (Fig. 1.179).
5. Once again, remove the dipstick and check the oil level on the dipstick. Normal engine oil level corresponds to a range between the maximum and minimum marks level. If the oil level is near the lower mark down the minimum level or below it, you need to add oil and bring the level up to the maximum level mark.
6. Before inserting the dipstick into the engine, check that the O-ring on the dipstick is in place.
Change the oil level between the marks on the dipstick corresponds to topping or consumption following the oil volume.
