Check the electrolyte level



At low electrolyte battery capacity decreases and it becomes exhausted quickly.

Check the level of electrolyte in the battery at least once a week. If the electrolyte in the battery is low, remove the battery cover and add the required amount of distilled water. The electrolyte should be located between the upper and lower marks on the housing wall (Fig. 1.189).
Do not pour distilled water above the top mark.
Check the density of the electrolyte in the battery using a hydrometer. Maintaining the required density of the electrolyte is especially important during the cold season. If the density of the electrolyte is low, charge the battery.
