Vacuum brake booster
Vacuum brake booster requires no special maintenance, except for the current inspection of hoses and air filter cover at the bottom near the end of the pusher of the brake pedal. Repair the brake servo is not provided, so when a fault it must be replaced. Remove the nuts of the main brake cylinder to the brake servo. Disconnect the connector brake fluid level and take the brake master cylinder aside. Do not bend the brake lines to the brake master cylinder. If there are any doubts about the flexibility of the tubes, remove them from the brake master cylinder and close the ends of the plugs.

Disconnect the vacuum hose from the front of the vacuum brake booster (Fig. 10.20). In the car, remove the fan duct heater from the instrument panel and lower trim. Remove the cotter pin and the pin head and the cotter pin hole, remove the brake servo pushrod from the brake pedal. When disconnecting do not dismiss the pusher side. Remove the four servo mounting nuts, and carefully remove it from the engine compartment. If you want to install a new brake servo, check the clearance between the primary piston of the master cylinder and a pusher of the amplifier. When installing the four free screw nut and connect the pushrod to the brake pedal. Tighten the nuts and connect the vacuum hose. If you have disconnected the brake pipes of the hydraulic system, completely bleed the brake system to remove air that hit her. Check the height of the installation and the brake pedal free play and adjust if necessary.
