1. Check the tightness of the cap of the fuel tank filler neck. |
2. Inspect the fuel tubes for cracks, wear or other damage. Check the connection and fastening pipes. |
3. If possible, check that the injectors around there is no leakage. |
| 4. Check the fuel tank and the filler hose on presence of punctures, cracks and other damage. Check the fuel tank mounting, tightening of the clamp (arrow). |
| 5. Check the hoses, fuel vapor collection system and a carbon filter (arrow). The charcoal filter is located underneath the rear of the car on the Mazda 626 1998 model year. |
