Checking, maintenance and charge the battery



Tools and materials required for the maintenance of the battery

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before working on the battery prepare the necessary tools and materials.

A warning

Battery acid contains sulfuric acid and the produced hydrogen in mixture with air becomes explosive. Use caution when working with the battery.


2. Inspect the battery for leaks or damage. Check the battery attachment. Check the condition of the battery terminals and the reliability of the contact wire.
3. Check the battery charge. Some battery charging to check a special sensor.

Maintenance

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Corrosion on the terminals of the battery usually appears as a white powder.
2. If the battery terminal corrosion is present, remove the wire from the battery.
3. Clean the battery terminals until a clean shiny surface.
4. Remove all traces of rust from the contact wires.
5. Clean the battery rack, if necessary. Lubricate the battery terminals with petroleum jelly and connect the wires. Securely attach the battery to the battery shelf.

Accumulator charging

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To charge the battery is recommended to use the charger with trickle charging (1-2 amperes). For fast charging, you can use the charger with great charging current, however, it should not exceed 1/10 of the battery power.
2. To fully charge the battery charger with trickle charging usually lasts 12-16 hours.
