Checking device preheat

If you have difficulty starting the engine, you must first measure the engine compression. If the amount of compression is too small, at low temperatures, the engine will not start.

Check glow plugs

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the spark plugs.
2. Connect sequentially to each glow plug ohm meter and check the short circuit between the contacts of candles and the cylinder block.
3. If the resistance is not zero, the glow plug is defective and should be replaced.
4. Remove the defective glow plug. Screw the new glow plug (3) and torque to 20 Nm Connect a wire (2) and tighten the nut (1).

A warning

Do not exceed the specified torque, as otherwise it may be damaged pin plugs and plug prematurely fail. Make sure that the candle did not fall on oil or fuel. When burnt rods follow the instructions.

If a defect is detected on, but the engine runs poorly, make an external inspection of the glow plug when the glow. To do this, remove the injectors and through holes watch the glow plugs on heating.

5. When a glow plug with charred heating rods (arrow) is not enough to simply replace them. It is necessary in this case as well to check the nozzles on injection pressure and tightness.
6. burning rods glow is often the result of faulty injectors. Such injuries should not be ascribed to internal or external defect glow.

Check glow plug relay

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the glow plug relay.

2. Connect the switch to the battery with two wires. Connect an ohmmeter and check whether the terminals are closed.
