The intake air temperature sensor
The temperature sensor measures the temperature of the intake air. This value along with the signal intake manifold pressure sensor serves to measure the control unit the amount of intake air. Intake air thermosensor is NTC-resistor (NTC = Negative Temperature Coefficient), whose resistance decreases with increasing temperature.
The engine in volume of 2.2 / 2.5 L Withdrawal
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | Remove the sensor together with the plug (V17h1), this squeeze the two side locking clip (1). |
|
Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Disconnect the plug. | 2. Check with an ohmmeter resistance temperature sensor at various temperatures. The measured value is OK if it is within a tolerance of + 5% (see table Resistance of thermal sensor). | 3. If you are not measuring sensor reaches a predetermined value, then it should be replaced. |
|
Setting
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Push the cable plug (connector). | 2. Check for defects or porosity of the O-ring profile, replace it if necessary. | 3. Insert the sensor with O-ring profile. | 4. Squeeze the retaining clips outward until it is clearly (at the hearing) locks. |
