Removing and installing cylinder head cover



4-cylinder in-line engine


SEQUENCE OF WORK
Withdrawal
1. Remove the cross tube of the air filter, loosen clamps.

2. Disconnect the hose 5 (Fig. 5.17) crankcase ventilation system from the cylinder head cover.
3. Remove the clamp cover 6 and upwards to remove it.
4. Remove the screw 1, and then remove the cover 9 with the sleeve 2.
5. Remove the caps from the spark plugs.
6. Disconnect the oxygen concentration sensor.
7. Remove the bolts from the cylinder head cover.

A WARNING
The bolts are of different lengths, so mark the site of their installation.

8. Remove the cover 8 with seal 7.
Setting
9. Check the technical condition of the cover gasket: it must not be crushed porosity and places. Replace the cylinder head cover 8 with seal 7.

A WARNING
Pay attention to the correct installation of the gasket from the rear slots.

10. Evenly tighten cover bolts to 10 N ?� m.
11. Secure the oxygen concentration sensor.
12. Install the spark plugs.
13. Install the remaining bolts and secure the lid.
14. Connect the crankcase ventilation hose and fix its collar.
15. Install the cross tube of the air filter.
16. Start up the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
17. Check the tightness of the cylinder head cover. Pay particular attention to the back recesses and niches for spark plugs.

6-cylinder V-engine
SEQUENCE OF WORK
Withdrawal
1. Unplug the connector from the sensor meter of air.
2. Remove the air filter cavity.
3. Remove the air filter.

4. Remove the cap from the inlet tube 1 (Fig. 5.18), remove it from the unit and remove the throttle with the air flow sensor.
For models with automatic transmission:
5. Disconnect the oil dipstick in the gearbox.
For all models:
6. Remove the mounting coils 3, 5 to the ignition cylinder head cover.
7. Remove the spark plug caps 4.
8. Disconnect from the cylinder head covers vacuum hoses, addressed to the intake manifold.
9. Disconnect the hose crankcase ventilation to the rear end of the left cylinder head cover.
10. Remove the bolts from the cylinder head covers, and remove them from the gasket.
Setting
11. Install the cylinder head cover with the gasket and tighten the bolts crosswise to 10 Nm. Be sure to install the touch pad with your fingers.
12. Attach the rear cover to the left cylinder head hose crankcase ventilation.
13. Attach the cylinder head cover vacuum hoses.
14. Screw coil 3 and the plug 5 to 8 Nm.
15. Attach the lugs 4 spark plug to the cylinder head cover according to their markings and connect to the ignition coil.
For models with automatic transmission:
16. Screw the guide tube for the oil dipstick in the gearbox.
For all models:
17. Install the air filter.
18. Attach the cylinder head cover the air filter on the inlet pipe, the air flow sensor and throttle assembly.
19. Connect the connector to the air flow sensor and set the resonator.
