Accessory drive belt on the working side has a number of V-grooves to prevent slippage. Depending on whether the vehicle is equipped with air conditioning or not the belt has a different position, and circuit speed. First, determine exactly what the belt used in your car. The tension accessory drive belt is not checked, all the engines, it is automatically supported by a roller with the spring adjustment (Fig. 4.24). In the pre-chamber engines on the lever tensioner installed an additional damper. Accessory drive belt has a long life. "30,000 km every year" 1. Turn off the ignition.

2. Accessory Belt label the chalk in the clearly visible place (Fig. 4.25). 3. Turn the gear lever in neutral, set the parking brake. Rotate the crankshaft using the Allen key 27 until the chalk markings on the belt. The motor rotates clockwise only! 4. Rotate the crankshaft several times fully. 5. Check the outer surface of the belt. It should be replaced, if you found the following defects: - Uneven wear marks on the edges of the belt; - Porous surface is formed or "fringe"; - Cuts in the belt; - Traces of oil or fat. Replace accessory drive belt
1. The direction of movement mark on the outside of the belt marker. If you wear the wrong accessory drive belt, it will lead to his rapid deterioration. When installing the belt, pay attention to the fact that the grooves of the belt were exactly in the pulley grooves.

2. On all engines except the CDI: unscrew the lock nut 2 (Fig. 4.26) in the attachment point of the spring. 3. Insert the lever into the top pry spring tension 1 and press it so that it was possible to remove the locking bolt. 4. Remove the lever. 5. Slightly pull back the pulley 4 and remove the accessory drive belt.

6. On engines CDI: throw with Torx-key (E10) on the pulley and turn it counter-clockwise (Fig. 4.27) to loosen the belt. Remove the accessory drive belt. 7. Pass the belt between the impeller and the fan casing and remove it. You can disconnect from a radiator fan shroud and remove the belt. 8. Check the condition of the pulleys and clean them. Pay attention to the play of the guide pulley and natyazhitelnogo. 9. Check the wear of the belt and clean it from dirt.
PRACTICAL ADVICE Break accessory drive belt If during movement the control lamp lights red battery, the cause may be a broken belt. Often at breakage can hear a thump on the metal in the engine compartment. The movement can not continue, as it will not run the water pump. Otherwise, the coolant will boil quickly, the engine overheated and suffered severe injuries. Do not risk even to move at slow speed with stops. If you have a car there is a spare belt, better drag the car to the parking lot. |

11. Thread the strap through the pulleys, observing the order of its installation. 12. On all engines except the CDI: tension the belt. To do this using the lever, pull the tensioner spring to the point where it will be possible to put the tensioner bolt in the lever. 13. Tighten the nut. 14. On engines CDI: belt installation tighten Torx-key tensioner pulley. 15. Slowly loosen the pulley until the accessory drive belt can be put.
