Bleeding brake system

Signs of the presence of air in the brake system: after repair brake pedal moves to the floor or operation prozhimaetsya with dips; pedal stroke is long and becomes shorter after repeated pressing. Bleeding brake system should be carried out after any repair of hydraulic brakes. If brake fluid is leaking air will necessarily get into the system. Bleed brake system for vehicles with ESP system should be in Service. To do this, the ESP control unit program starts pumping.
At the workshop the brakes are pumped by means of a special device, but you can perform this operation, and the traditional way.

SEQUENCE OF WORK
1. Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir.
2. Add a new brake fluid in the reservoir and during the time of work in a timely manner of its top up as necessary. Otherwise, the system will fall over the air and have to start working again.
3. Remove the rubber cap from the bleeder working brake cylinder rear right wheel.

4. Clean the nipple fitting, pull on it the pure transparent plastic hose and lower its free end in a container (a plastic bottle), half-filled with brake fluid (Fig. 8.21).
5. Carefully loosen the bleeder valve ring key half a turn.
6. Have an assistant slowly depress the brake pedal all the way to pump out the brake fluid from the system and it is in the air. At the same time follow a hose and a container of brake fluid - you should notice fluid coming out of the air bubbles. Hold the brake pedal down.
7. Close the bleeder valve, then remove the foot off the pedal. Thus no air will get through a threaded fitting on. Pedal is released slowly.
8. Repeat this operation until liquid is not yet in the stop allocated air bubbles - this means that the air is removed from the system. Continuously monitor brake fluid reservoir. Finally, tighten the fitting (with the force do not tighten) and put the rubber cap on the nipple.
9. On the other bleeder valve repeat the same operation in the following order: the left rear wheel, front right and then the left front.
10. If the system had a lot of air, the whole procedure was repeated once more.
11. Upon completion of work once again check the fluid level in the tank and if necessary top up with fresh fluid to the proper level.
12. Check the brakes during the test (carefully) trip.
