Testing the oil level sensor
The warning lamp lights up the oil level with the oil level is normal and the engine is running: 1. Remove the oil level sensor connector. 2. An ohmmeter check the contact between the sensor and the "weight". 3. In the absence of contact, remove and replace the sensor. If the contact sensor is, check the wiring from the sensor to the dashboard. 4. If all wiring is OK, the problem may be the cause of a defect in the instrument panel. The warning lamp does not illuminate when the ignition is: perhaps blown bulb. Replace it. The warning lamp does not illuminate when the engine is running, the oil temperature is greater than 60 ? C and the oil level is below the minimum level: 1. Disconnect the sensor. 2. Check the contact between the sensor connector and "weight". Possible open circuit. 3. If the lamp is not lit, despite the fact that the contact sensor is broken, it means that the lamp burns out. 4. If there is no contact at sensor, remove, check and if necessary replace the sensor.
