Troubleshooting glow

In the car with the engine of fashions. 602 all faults controlled self-diagnostic system. If you have a problem with starting the engine capacity of 2.3 liters, in many cases this is due to the control device glow plugs. If you start the control lamp does not light, probably, this unit has a fault. With conventional "probe" can hold some diagnostic work. To access the terminals remove the lid switch preheater.
If the warning light does not come on and the engine is started, check the bulb and replace. Otherwise, you must carry out the following checks with a "probe":
- Disconnect the connector and turn the ignition switch;
- Connect the "probe" to both pins of pads. If the lamp does not light, check the leads. Lamp "Probe" to be known-good;
- If the engine does not start, and warning light in the instrument cluster, it is necessary to carry out the following checks:
1) to check the integrity of the fuse;
2) turn on the ignition and check the voltage at terminal "15". To do this, check the wire a small plug-in connection;
3) Disconnect the large connector wire going to the spark from the switch;
4) one end of the "probe" attached to "weight", and the other - on the line connecting - check out all the relay contacts. The control unit glow plugs operate after the ignition is switched on and each contact voltage appears. Remember to occasionally turn off the ignition and turn on again to maintain the heating device in operation;
5) test results are unsatisfactory replace the relay.
Faulty glow is determined by the engine when it starts, but not all the cylinders. Nonoperating cylinder starts to lag as diesel fuel tend to self-ignition.
