Checking oil pressure

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the engine oil level, refer to Section Check of levels of liquids, the control of leaks.
2. Warm up the engine to operating temperature. To do this, start the engine and wait until the dashboard appears normal temperature of the coolant. To do this, the display of the dashboard switch Coolant Temperature. Then Pass on the car about 5 km, to thereby achieve the motor oil operating temperature.

On HUNDRED oil temperature is checked by inserting a thermometer into the opening of the oil dipstick. The set value is + 90 ? C.

3. The oil pressure is measured on the cover of the oil filter. This requires a special filter cover (special tool) with connection for pressure gauge.
? Requires replacement of the oil filter cover.
The cover can be made as follows:
4. Drill a hole with a diameter of 8 mm at the center of the lid.
5. Drill a hole diameter of 2 mm M6 hexagon socket.
6. Cut M6 thread in the connection hose connection M12 x 1.5.
7. Insert screw with sealing washer 6.5 x 18 inside the hole in the lid of the oil filter.
8. Replace the cover on the outside of the aluminum seal ring 12 x 17, and connecting hose connection. Screw in connecting nipple Allen screw.

9. 4-cylinder petrol engine: Remove using a 74 mm socket wrench or HAZET 2169 oil filter cover.

10. Remove the cover from the filter element (2). (3) - O-ring.

11. The diesel engine: Remove the oil filter cover (1) using the tool HAZET 2169 (2) and a head of 27 mm (3). The illustration shows the engine 611.

12. Insert the oil filter housing the new filter element.
13. Screw the lid with the accession to test (special tool) and the sealing ring.
14. Connect a pressure gauge to check the oil pressure to the hose connection pipe.
15. Start the engine and let it run at idle.
16. The oil pressure should be no less than 0.3 atm. Otherwise it is necessary to check the lubrication system (pump, bearings, etc.).
17. By increasing the power of the engine oil pressure should immediately rise, and at 3000 rev / min motor must be at least 3 bar.
18. Stop the engine.
19. Remove the pressure gauge.
20. After the test, set the nominal oil pressure oil filter cap with a new seal.
