Warning signal and warning lights on the dashboard

The instrument panel - see. Section dashboard.

Control lamp ABS system

When you turn the key in the ignition switch 2 warning lamp anti-lock braking system (ABS).
It goes out when the engine is running.

If this warning light comes on when the engine is running, then due to faulty anti-lock braking system is switched off (ABS).

In this case, working full-time without the anti-lock brake system function.

When a fault occurs the ABS ECU risk of faults and other systems, such as system ?Parktronic?, a navigation system and an automatic transmission. (Emergency mode automatic transmission - see. Section Driving and auxiliary systems).

In case of failure of the ABS off as e protivozanosnaya system (ESP) and Brake Assist (BAS).

Display warning and fault indication appears on the universal display.

Immediately contact the service station ?Mercedes-Benz? to test the system ABS ?.

When the voltage drops below 10 V, the dashboard warning lamp also lights and the ABS system is switched off. When the voltage rises above this value the control lamp goes out and the ABS system is again ready for operation.

(Anti-lock braking system (ABS) - see. Section Driving and auxiliary systems).

Brake System Warning Light

When you turn the key in the ignition switch 2 warning lamp will illuminate.
It goes out when the engine is running.

If this warning light comes on when the engine is running, it means not released the parking brake or brakes in the tank due to leakage of the brake fluid is too low.

Warning lamp e protivozanosnoy system (ESP)

When you turn the key in the ignition switch 2 on the speedometer lights warning lamp. It goes out when the engine is running.

If the warning lamp lights up or flashes while driving - see. "Electronic protivozanosnaya system (ESP)? (Section Driving and auxiliary systems).

Lamp without function

It lights up when you turn the key in the ignition switch 2 and goes out when the engine is running.

The warning lamp engine diagnostics

When you turn the key in the ignition switch 2 warning lamp will illuminate.

It goes out when the engine is running.

If the warning light comes on when the engine is running, there may be a fault injection system, the ignition system or the exhaust system.

Limit parameters exhaust may be exceeded.

Immediately contact the service station ?Mercedes-Benz? to check the car.

DTR lamp without function

It lights up when you turn the key in the ignition switch 2 and goes out when the engine is running.

Warning lamp imposing seatbelts

When you turn the key in the ignition switch from position 1 to position 2 for about 6 seconds lights warning lamp on the instrument panel. This reminded that before starting upwards should impose seat belts.

The warning lamp SRS system SRS (Supplemental Restraint System)

When you turn the key in the ignition switch in position 1 warning light comes on about 4 seconds.
In the 2-position indicator lamp is lit and goes out when the engine is running.

This confirms the efficiency of passenger safety systems (airbags, belt tensioners and automatic recognition of the presence of a child seat).

Ate it does not illuminate, does not go out for a long time, does not go out at all, or flashing lights while driving, it means a fault.

There is a risk of an accident!

If a fault occurs possible system failure passenger safety in an emergency. In extremely rare cases, it is also possible accidental triggering of airbags or seatbelt tensioners.

Carefully keep driving until the next hundred ?Mercedes-Benz?!

Warning lamp fuel reserve

If the warning lamp (1) on the fuel reserve indicator comes on when the engine is running, it means that the fuel reserve is reached. In addition, the universal display shows ?RESERVE FUEL? (fuel reserve) ?VISIT FILLING STATION? (FILL FUEL).

After refueling produced when you turn on the ignition of the universal display shows "1 MALFUNCTION? (1 fault). You must remove this indication.

Warning signal and warning lamp in the center console

The indicator lamp AIRBAG-OFF

When you turn the key in the ignition switch in position 1 or 2 for about 4 seconds warning lamp .

If it does not light up, it means a fault.

The indicator lamp is lit when a child seat recognition system to the presence of a child seat is installed on the front passenger seat, and indicates that the front passenger airbag is switched off.

(The system of automatic recognition of the presence of a child seat - see. Section safety systems).

Indication of warning and alarm systems at the universal fault display

Indication of warning and alarm fault for these systems continue to appear immediately on the universal display.

They are divided into three categories.

Category K1

Messages top priority.

Problem on the universal display shows up until the fault is resolved.

Category K2 and K3

Messages middle and lower priority.

These messages can be removed from the display and thus written in the memory fault indication (Section multifunction steering wheel, universal display). To remove, press . . or the universal steering wheel, or reset button on the dashboard (Section multifunction steering wheel, universal display).

Certain posts of further confirmed by a beep.

When the red indications of warning and alarm malfunctions further beep.

When the red indications of warning and alarm malfunctions always beep.

Indication of warning and alarm malfunctions, such as, ?TRUNK OPEN!? (RACK OPEN!) Are not stored fault indication.
