This chapter describes the procedures for repair and maintenance of electrical components mounted on a vehicle and having no direct connection to the engine. Information service units such as battery, ignition system components, alternator and starter, see Chapter Systems of an electric motor, dedicated to electrical motor systems.

Before servicing electrical components of the board, in order to avoid electric shock or fire due to short circuit, disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Regularly check the condition of wiring harness and tightened them in intermediate clamps, collars and trim. Make sure that the wire insulation is not to wipe on the location of nearby components.

Considered in this manual car models are equipped with additional safety (SRS).
