Calculating the oil flow

Petrol models of manufacture of 11/30/00

Measuring the flow of oil to manufacture petrol models 11/30/00

087 - HHT
094 - Multiplex cable
X11 / 4 - the DLC

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The measurement is made with a hand tester (HHT). Checking should be done only seasoned with fresh engine oil to set a new full-flow oil filter, avoiding the errors related to the penetration of oil fuel.

The need to change the motor oil / oil filter is not available, if the amount of mileage since the last regular replacement is less than 1000 km.

  1. Inspect power unit for signs of external oil leakage, if necessary, correct the cause of leaks.
  2. If the test is carried out by experts firm HUNDRED Mercedes-Benz, the value of the control path is 250 km (staff must first be familiar with the use of the vehicle and the manner of driving of the owner). Alternatively, the measurement can be performed in-house with the owner of a controlling mileage of 1000 km.
  3. Strictly adhering to the manufacturer's instructions, connect the diagnostic socket DLC (X11 / 4) Car manual tester HHT (087).
  4. For readings, go to sub-section ?Actual values? section ?Active service system since last oil change? menu tester.

The value indicating the oil consumption per 100 kilometers in paragraph 05, the menu should not be used in the calculation!

  1. From the menu item 02 count value corresponding to the amount of oil poured at the last change, such as 6.3 liters.
  2. From 05 to determine the real amount of oil at the time of measurement, such as 5.9 liters.
  3. The amount of oil in the engine is topped up lately, it can be determined from the menu 04, - this value is necessary to add on the calculation.
  4. From 01 Consider reading the menu, corresponding to the amount of run since the last oil change, for example, 1146 km.
  5. The calculation is performed by the formula:
    Oil consumption = (difference in liters x 1000) / value of path = = (6.3 - 5.9) x1000 / 1146 = 400/1146 = 0.35 l / 1000 km
  1. Based on the results for timely adjustment of the oil level, or do the necessary regenerative repair.

Petrol models of release since 01/12/00 and diesel models

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. The measurement is performed using the scanner reader STAR-DIAGNOSIS. Test conditions are similar to those outlined above for the manufacture of petrol models 11/30/00.
  2. . To connect the reader is described in Chapter Systems of an electric motor.

You must first clear the memory module board of self-recorded in her codes DTC (if any are present in it) (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

  1. The reading of the best produce in the same point of the area where the last oil change was carried out (the beginning point of reference run).
  2. Open subsection ?KI (instrument cluster)? Section ?Body? menu of the main groups of the reader.
  3. Next, go to the item ?Driven travel distance since last oil change? subsection ?Active service system since last oil change? section ?Active values? and determine the exact value of the control path, for example, 1123 km.
  4. From ?Quantity of oil added during oil change? count the number of the cast at the last oil change, for example, 6.3 liters.
  5. The actual number is present in the engine oil can be read from ?Last and second last detected oil quantity in engine with engine operation?. Suppose, for example, 5.6 liters.
  6. Further, the formula = Oil consumption (difference in liters x 1000) / value of path = = (6.3 - 5.9) x1000 / 1146 = 400/1146 = 0.35 l / 1000 km, determine the oil consumption: 0.7x1000 / 1123 = 0.62 liters / 1000 km.
