Removing and installing auxiliary heater STH (with appropriate equipment)



Details of installation of additional heater (models 463.250 / 323, code H12)

1 - Exhaust pipe cooling path
2 - The inlet hose cooling path
3 - Fuel Line
4, 5 - Clutches

6 - Bandages
7 - Exhaust pipe
8 - Fixing screws
A6 - block the additional heater (STH)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Poddomkratte car and establish it on props.
  2. Remove protection crankcase.
  3. Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  4. Disconnect the inlet (2) and an outlet (1) from the path of the cooling tubes assemblies STH heater and the water pump.
  5. Disconnect the heater assembly STH (A6) fuel line (3), - ready to collect spilled fuel.
  6. Releasing bandages (6) Disconnect the clutch (4 and 5) wiring - banding must be replaced without fail.
  7. Disconnect the heater STH (A6) outlet pipe (7).
  8. Remove the mounting bolts (8) and remove the assembly of additional heater STH (A6).
  9. Remove the circulation pump (see. Section Removal and installation of auxiliary heater circulation pump STH (with appropriate equipment)).
  10. Installation is in the reverse order.
  11. Finally, remove the path of the cooling air and check the corresponding components for signs of leaks.
  12. Start the auxiliary heater and make sure of serviceability of its functioning, - if the heater is switched off automatically before reaching the coolant temperature of the normal operating value and can not be restarted, so the system is triggered false lock - Drive to an SRT Mercedes-Benz for detailed diagnostics Reader using STAR DIAGNOSIS (6511 1801 00).
