Removing and installing radiator cooling system

Petrol models

Details of installation of a radiator on petrol models

1 - Protection crankcase
2 - Catches
3 - Goals
4 - Bolt
5 - line cooling ATF
6 - Radiator Cooling System
7 - Line tract cooling (heat sink - the water pump)
8 - The cooling fan with viscous coupling

9 - Line cooling path (radiator - thermostat housing)
10 - Line cooling path (expansion tank - radiator)
11 - Cover the fan assembly
12 - Line of cooling ATF
13 - Bolts
14 - support brackets
15 - Earthing

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove protection crankcase (1).
  2. Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  3. Remove the retaining clips (2) and washers (3).
  4. Remove the bolt (4) from the radiator (6) of the line (5) cooling ATF.
  5. Disconnect from a radiator (6) of the cooling line path (7).
  6. Disconnect from a radiator (6) line (12) of cooling ATF.
  7. Remove the fan assembly from the viscous coupling (8) (see. Section Removal and installation of the cooling fan assembly), - the union nut of the impeller has a right-hand cutting.
  8. Disconnect from a radiator (6) of the line cooling path (9 and 10).
  9. Remove the fan casing (11) (see. Section Removal and installation of the cooling fan assembly).
  10. Disconnect from a radiator (6) line (5) cooling ATF.
  11. Remove the mounting bolts (13) and remove the mounting brackets (14).
  12. Disconnect from a radiator (6) ground bus (15).
  13. Remove the heat sink (6).
  14. Installation is in the reverse order - make sure that the guide pins from the bottom rested on the rubber dampers on the crossbar Chuck.
  15. Finally, check the cooling system for signs of leaks.

Diesel models

M612

Details of installation of a radiator on diesel models with engine M612 (1 of 2)

1 - The top cross beam bulkhead
2 - Overflow line cooling path
3 - support brackets
4 - hose clip

5 - Hose cooling path
6, 7 - Ducts
11 - Radiator

Details of installation of a radiator on diesel models with engine M612 (2 of 2)

2 - Overflow line cooling path
5, 9 - Hoses cooling path
10 - Catches
11 - Radiator
12 - Bolts

13 - Guide pins
14 - Fasteners
15 - Rubber dampers
16 - Condenser
17, 18 - chilled ATF
A - Protection crankcase

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Open the hood and fix it in an upright position.
  2. Remove the trim panel of the cylinder head.
  3. Remove the radiator grille (see chap. Body).
  4. Poddomkratte car and establish it on props.
  5. Remove protection crankcase (A).
  6. Drain the cooling system (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  7. Remove the crossmember front end (1) and move it to the side assembled with fixing the hood lock.
  8. Remove the support brackets (3), release fixing collars (4) and remove the overflow line of the cooling path (2). Assess the lines and mounting clamps, if necessary, prepare a replacement.
  9. Remove the fan assembly from the viscous coupling (see. Section Removal and installation of the cooling fan assembly).
  10. Release fixing collars and remove air ducts (6 and 7), - immediately plug the hole in the cooler to prevent ingress of coolant, evaluate the state of the O-rings, if necessary, prepare a replacement.

The presence of air in the arms of a small amount of oil is due to the normal functioning of the crankcase ventilation system is acceptable.

  1. Disconnect the cooling line ATF (17 and 18), - ready to collect spilled liquids - and connect them with each other by means of a segment of hose inner diameter of 12 mm.
  2. Disconnect the hose of the cooling path (9), - check the condition of fixing collars, if necessary, prepare a replacement.
  3. Remove the clips (10) mounting the radiator (11).
  4. Remove the bolts (12).
  5. Picking up the radiator, separate it from the bottom crossbar front end and out of the engine compartment.
  6. Set the screen to protect the radiator / condenser air conditioning system (equipped with a suitable support bracket metal or plastic plate of 400x680x1 mm).
  7. Installation is in the reverse order. Make sure that the guide pins (13) hit the rubber grommets on the bottom of the crossbar Chuck, also make sure of correctness of landing of fasteners (14) and rubber dampers (15) of the capacitor (16).
  8. Finally, check the cooling system for signs of leaks.

M628

Details of installation of a radiator on diesel models with engine M628

1 - radiator cooling system
2 - Condenser
3, 4 - Lines cooling path
5, 6 - chilled ATF
7 - The vent line
8 - Fixing clips

9 - The guide pins
10 - Bolts
11 - Fasteners
12 - Rubber dampers
A - Protection crankcase

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Poddomkratte car and establish it on props.
  3. Remove protection crankcase (A).
  4. Drain the radiator (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  5. Remove the air cleaner (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust).
  6. Remove the cover of the fan assembly (see. Section Removal and installation of the cooling fan assembly).
  7. Disconnect hoses cooling path (3 and 4), - check the condition of fixing collars, if necessary, prepare a replacement.
  8. Disconnect the cooling line ATF (5 and 6), - ready to collect spilled liquids - and connect them with each other by means of a segment of hose inner diameter of 12 mm.
  9. Remove the clips (8) mounting the radiator (1).
  10. Raising the radiator assembly (1) to the condenser (2), to separate it from the bottom crossbar front end.
  11. Remove the hex head screws (10) and remove the heat sink (1) from the engine compartment.
  12. Installation is in the reverse order. Make sure that the guide pins (9) hit the rubber grommets on the bottom of the crossbar Chuck, also make sure of correctness of landing of fasteners (11) and rubber dampers (12).
  13. Finally, check the cooling system for signs of leaks.
