Power system

General information and safety measures

The structure of the power supply system includes: installed in the rear of the vehicle fuel tank, fuel vapor absorber coal, fuel, electric fuel pump, and the electronic distribution of sequential injection, controlled by an electronic engine control unit (ECM).

A significant impact on fuel consumption has a style of driving. Here are some tips for saving gasoline.

  • After starting the engine once started, even if it takes place in the cold;
  • When the vehicle is stopped for more than 40 seconds, turn off the engine;
  • Move always on the maximum high gear;
  • When driving long distances as far as possible to maintain a uniform speed. Avoid driving at high speed. Without need do not brake;
  • Do not carry unnecessary load on the vehicle;
  • Check the air pressure in the tires. Avoid excessive pressure drop.

Safety and cleanliness at work with fuel system

  • Do not work on the fuel system near open flames or smoke while and do not include heating appliances! Keep a fire extinguisher at the ready;
  • Before starting any work on the fuel system, always disconnect the negative cable from the battery in order to avoid sparks. Before disconnecting the battery should be regarded as fault codes (see chap. Systems of an electric motor);
  • Watch for normal ventilation of the workplace, - fuel vapors are poisonous;
  • Do not spill gasoline on the rubber and leather surfaces, as and they can be damaged;
  • The fuel system is under pressure and its opening of the fuel can escape - Wear protective glasses. Spilled fuel collect rags;
  • Hose connections are secured using tape or clamps. Clamps during disassembly should be replaced by tape;
  • Links and adjacent space before opening thoroughly clean;
  • The removed components install on a clean surface and cover with polyethylene, paper or lint-free cloth;
  • Closes an open choke connectors, for example, suitable plugs;
  • Install only clean parts - Replacement Parts unwrap just before installation. Do not use parts that were stored without packaging;
  • Avoid the use of compressed air at an open fuel system, if possible, try not to move the car;
  • Do not use silicone-containing sealants, as trapped in the engine silicone particles do not burn, and can cause failure of the lambda probe;
  • Before removing the fuel tank fuel pump out of a specially designed pump;
  • Remember that even an empty fuel tank is explosive;
  • After installing fuel system components, start the engine and check the tightness of all connections.
