Removal and installation of locks and door handles

The front door

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove the door trim (see. Section Removing and installing door trim panels) and completely lift the glass. Remove the rear door glass bottom rail (see. Section Removal and installation of glass windows and side doors). Remove the inside handle of the wire and cable button locking the door. Unscrew the internal handle and remove it from the door, sliding back. Disconnect the cables from the inside of the handle, noting their position. Remove the door and remove the plug located beneath the bolt assembly of the lock cylinder (with appropriate equipment). Remove the thrust of the cylinder lock. On models with the system ?�Intelligent Key?� disconnect the wiring of the receiver and remove its holder wiring. Pull outside handle forward and remove the cylinder lock assembly. Remove the outer knob, pulling it out in the direction of the rear end of the car. Remove the lining of the external handle. Remove the lock bolts. Slide the outside handle bracket toward the rear end of the car and remove the bracket and lock assembly. Disconnect the lock assembly. Disconnect the cable from the outside handle bracket. Installation is in the reverse order.

Backdoor

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove the door trim (see. Section Removing and installing door trim panels) and a guide fixed glass door (see. Section Removal and installation of glass windows and side doors). Holding the glass doors completely retract it. Unscrew the internal handle and remove it from the door, sliding back. Disconnect the cables from the inside of the handle, noting their position. Remove the door and remove the plug located beneath the outer panel bolt handle. Pull outside handle forward, remove the panel. Remove the outer knob, pulling it out in the direction of the rear end of the car. Remove the lining of the external handle. Remove the lock bolts. Slide the outside handle bracket toward the rear end of the car and remove the bracket and lock assembly. Disconnect the lock assembly. Disconnect the cable from the outside handle bracket. Installation is in the reverse order.
