Checking and adding transmission fluid



To add filling and AT use only recommended varieties of hydraulic fluid (see. Table sizes and adjustments in the end of this manual).

Transmission fluid level should be checked regularly in accordance with the schedule of routine maintenance of the car. Good habits will check the transmission fluid level every time when refueling.

Similarly, determine the level of the transmission fluid can not be the operation of a vehicle in hot weather, during long-term high-speed travel, as well as the towing vehicle. In all these cases, before you start checking the transmission fluid level allow to cool for at least 30 minutes.

The fluid level can be checked using the COLD range on the blade of the probe after the engine warms up before a trip, but then must repeat the test in the range of notes after the trip.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Warm up transmission to normal working temperature, expelling the car on the road for about 5 km.

  2. Remove the dipstick and re-adjustment of the wetted blade determine the transmission fluid level. The upper edge of the wetted area should be in the range of notes of the blade. At the same time, check the fluid for dirt, discoloration and the presence of a burning smell.

To ensure measurement accuracy, then recheck the fluid level a few times, looking at the blade on both sides of the probe. Pollution and discoloration of the fluid and the presence of a burning odor indicate the presence of mechanical problems and the need to plan the show transmission specialist.

  1. If necessary, add the right amount into the transmission fluid required grade through dipstick tube. Bring the liquid level before entering it into the range of notes on the blade of the probe. To avoid removing the false testimony before producing checks allow the fluid to drain completely from the walls of the tube.

Do not overfill the transmission, as it can lead to foaming in the liquid and reduce efficiency of the transmission. If the addition of the liquid necessary to produce regular and frequent (a large amount), the transmission must be checked for signs of leakage and immediately eliminate the cause.

  1. Install the probe in place, making sure that the transmission was not entered mud.
