Service the throttle cable



Refitting

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Loosen the lock nut and remove the cable from the adjuster bracket.
  1. Turn the lever to move the throttle fully open position. Using the resulting slack, disconnect the cable from the lever.
  2. In the car, release the tabs and remove the plastic sleeve cable from the top of the lever of the gas pedal. Release the lever of the cable core.
  3. Give bolts cable bracket.
  4. Pull the throttle cable through the bulkhead engine compartment into the passenger compartment.
  5. Check the core and shell of the cable for signs of wear, damage to thread and peg. If necessary, replace the cable.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. To avoid peg careful not to twist the cable and do not bend it too much.
  2. Track correctness of installation of the sleeve in the upper portion of the gas pedal lever.

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Make sure that the cable of a manual throttle actuator is fully released.
  2. Ask the assistant to squeeze out a gas pedal fully and make sure the throttle actuator rod is in the fully open position.
  3. If necessary, loosen the lock nut and properly Adjust the length of the cable.
  4. With proper adjustment of the throttle must be fully opened when depressed the gas pedal to the floor.
  5. Released the pedal should be free stroke 1 ÷ 3 mm. Minor slack should be also drawn to the core of the cable drive throttle on the carburetor.
