Checking the coupling in the installed state

Before removing the clutch to replace, you can perform the following operation to check where there may be a fault.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Start the engine and leave it idling.
  2. Depress the clutch pedal and wait for 3 seconds.
  3. Turn back up. If the gearbox is heard gnashing, it can be assumed that the clutch or the clutch disc must be replaced, as the link between the clutch and flywheel interrupted.
  4. To check the clutch slippage:
  5. Pass on the car until the gearbox and the clutch does not reach its operating temperature.
  6. Stop the vehicle and cock a manual brake.
  7. Turn third gear.
  8. Depress the clutch pedal, the engine acceleration up to 3000 - 4000 rev / min and rapidly release the clutch pedal. If the engine immediately stalls, the clutch works flawlessly. If the clutch has high mileage, it will start to slide. In this case, first check the adjustment. Slip clutch manifested when climbing a hill. If the gas supply is felt that the motor rotates faster than the drive wheels, then the motor is rotating faster than the connection coupling.
  9. If the clutch is slipping, this means that the drive transmission is not transmitted all the power of the engine. Slave hard disk is not enough clamped between the friction surface of the flywheel and pressure plate. In most cases, it can be assumed that the oil from the engine fell on the clutch cover and clutch linings are worn or burnt. In this case, the only help - a replacement drive plate or the entire clutch.
