1. Raise the rear of the car and establish on supports. |
2. Unscrew the cap nut and remove the speedometer cable. |
| 3. Remove the bolt. |
| 4. Remove the gearbox and the O-ring. |
| 5. If necessary, knock out pin, remove the gear and thrust washer (arrows indicate the pin and O-ring). |
6. Check all the details. |
7. Replace the O-ring. |
8. If you need to replace the thrust washer, then keep in mind that the thickness of a new washer must be equal to the thickness of a replacement. |
9. At detection of defects pinion gear also check the state of the pinion in PPC. |
10. To replace the pinion gear Gearbox must be disassembled and removed the differential, so this work should be carried out in the service of car-care center. |
