Emission control system
Models with the carburettor engine
Check PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Adjust the composition of the fuel mixture for idling (CO level) (see. Subsection 2.2.2). | 2. Remove the fuse box cover to access the diagnostic connector, which is mounted below the fuse box. | | 3. Set the tester to measure voltage and connect the probes to the test fuse terminal block as shown in the figure. | 4. Start the engine, lift the engine speed to approximately 2000 rev / min and hold at that level for about 2 minutes, keeping an eye on the scale of the tester. If the exhaust gas sensor is working properly, the tester readings have varied from 0 volts to about 12 volts at least 5 times every 10 seconds. If not likely faulty sensor. For a more detailed inspection of the sensor and the catalytic converter, refer to specialists. |

Check
If the level of CO in the exhaust gas is too high, the work of the exhaust gas sensor should be checked, including electronic engine control unit in the self-test mode (see. Subsection 6.2.11).
For a more detailed inspection of the sensor and the catalytic converter, refer to specialists.
Exhaust gas sensor
A warning Exhaust gas sensor is very fragile and will fail if it is hit or dropped, if during operation turn the power off, or in contact with him of any cleaning agents.
