Solenoid valve

Replacing the control solenoid valve - models with electronic fuel injection (except models "Phase I" with an engine capacity of 2.0 liters and a multi-point fuel injection).

The solenoid valve on models "Phase II" with engine capacity of 2.0 liters

The solenoid valve is installed at the main intake manifold mounting bracket.

Control solenoid valve is installed on the rear side of the intake manifold on the engine models with 1.6 liter and on the left side or bottom of the intake manifold for models with the engine of 2.0 liters.

To improve access to the solenoid valve on models with engine capacity of 1.6 liters, remove the air filter housing

On models with engine capacity of 2.0 liters, lift the front of the car and establish it on support in order to gain access to the valve below the car (if needed).

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To replace the solenoid valve disconnect the negative battery terminals, then tighten the retaining clip and disconnect the connector connecting the valve.
2. Remember or mark the installation position of all hoses on the valve. In order not to connect the hoses correctly at installation, mark each of the hoses and pipes during removal.
3. Release clamps (if fitted), and disconnect the hoses from the valve, then remove the valve from the mounting bracket.
4. Installation is spent upside-down removals. When installing check the hose connection.
