Electronic fuel injection system self-test mode
Attention! On cars since 1996 diagnosis of failures in the fuel and auxiliary systems is performed only in the service station. LEDs on these cars available. |
Failure of sensors and actuators can be detected by diagnostic codes processor system ECCS car. There are 5 modes of self. Mode 1 signals from the oxygen sensor. On a warm engine operating mode is closed loop automatic control. In this case, the green LED lights up, indicating a lean, or goes out indicating a rich mixture. On the cold engine regulation is performed with open loop, or indicator is lit or extinguished.

Mode 2 tracking feedback stabilization at the stoichiometry of the mixture. When the mixture is stabilized to a certain extent at the same time the red LED flashes green. During open loop control the red LED is lit (or off). Mode 3 self-test mode. All faults are recorded in the memory. The contents of the memory is erased after 50 inclusions of a starter or power interruption processing unit. Mode 4 diagnostics of the throttle switch, starter, vehicle speed sensor, and others. Mode 5 real-time diagnostics to test on the road. Selecting the (engine with direct fuel injection system, 19,901,995 years.) Turn on the ignition and turn the mode dial clockwise (photo) to failure, wait for the start of the flashing lights. Once the number of flashes equals the number lamp mode selected immediately turn the mode dial counterclockwise. Do not turn off the ignition, otherwise automatically set mode 1.

To test the code warm up the engine and set the 3. In order to determine the code count the number of flashes of the green and red lights (the number of units and tens, respectively). At the end delete the contents of the memory by turning the dial clockwise (setting mode 4) and then counterclockwise.

Selecting the engine with a system of pre-injection (TBI with the system) If you want to determine the mode code (for example in the event of a sharp deterioration of the engine) remove the processing unit out from under the passenger seat. The connectors are not disconnected, as will be destroyed, your codes. Turn on the ignition and move the selector switch to the ON state (photo) will start to flash red and green LEDs. After 3 LED flashing (set mode 3), move the switch to the OFF state. To determine the code count the number of flashes of the green and red lights (the number of units and tens, respectively). At the end delete the contents of the memory by setting the mode 4, or disconnecting the battery from weight. If you select 4 indicators should blink 4 times.
