The system of petrol vapor (EEC system)

Overview
1. The system is designed to capture gasoline vapors, preventing them from entering the atmosphere in the form of hydrocarbons (photo).
2. On the tank vent valve is provided (photo) with two hoses. The valve has two openings, one of which (of larger diameter) closed by a diaphragm.
3. Between the tank with the filter and the fuel tank is installed a check valve, which is designed for ventilation of the tank with the engine running and the transition vapor absorber on the engine stopped (see photo).

4. Care of the system is reduced to checking the status of the tank, hoses and valves.
5. When checking the air tank should not pass through the ventilation hole of larger diameter and must pass freely through the pipe purge and vent valve (see photo). Otherwise, replace the tank.
6. The vacuum tank valve is defective, if the suction of air through the valve from the tank resistance is not felt and no characteristic knock.
7. A check valve should almost never allow air from the tank and slightly flowing while purging from the absorber. Valves that when testing shows negative, replace.
