Clutch master cylinder is located in the engine compartment to the right of the brake servo (see. Fig. 7.6).
Removing the master cylinder using the following procedure:
- Remove the cover from the fuse box, remove the mounting screws and remove the lower part of the instrument panel;
- Remove the spring bracket and remove the pin with a head and an aperture under the cotter pin that secures the master cylinder pushrod to the clutch pedal;
- Press a fluid hose from the tank to the clutch master cylinder suitable clamp and disconnect the hose from the clutch master cylinder;
- Unscrew the pipe union and disconnect the hose to the clutch slave cylinder;
- In the car, remove a protective casing of a pusher of the main cylinder of coupling;
- Unscrew the nuts and remove the master cylinder.
Check technical condition of parts of the master cylinder assembly and its installation procedure is as follows:
- Clean the outer surface of the clutch master cylinder.
- Using a screwdriver as a lever, remove the rubber cover and remove the plunger. Loosen the lock nut, remove the clamp and remove the plunger from the rubber casing;
- Remove the lock ring from the cylinder and liner, the piston and the spring. Note that the end of the spring having a smaller diameter, located on the part of the piston;
- Thoroughly clean parts clutch master cylinder, check their condition and replace them if necessary. Replace the cuff of the piston irrespective of its condition;
- Lower the new seal in the brake fluid and install it on the piston in accordance with the directional arrows. Make sure that the working edge of the cuff is in the spring before the end of the piston;
- Establish a spring end having a larger diameter in the clutch master cylinder. Lowering the piston into the brake fluid, gently push it into the cylinder coupling;
- Place the gasket and the retaining ring into the groove of the cylinder;
- Lubricate the end of the pusher with a thin layer of special greasing, install it on the piston and push the rubber casing. Profit lock nut and clamp, tighten the locknut.
Install the master cylinder spend in the reverse folding.
Bleed the hydraulic clutch.
