Checking the condition of seat belts



Make sure that the straps are not twisted as a result of improper installation. If the belts are twisted or jammed during retraction, pull the strap on the entire length sufficient to ensure that it can be straightened, and return the belt to its original position.
Fully pull the belt and release it. If the belt jams when moving in both directions, check its condition. Belt wash only mild soapy water. If the belt can not be washed, replace it.
Check the condition of all places of fastening the belt. Bolts should be tightened. Remove any traces of corrosion at fixing belt to a body. Corroded fasteners replace.
Replace the belt if you notice the following damages:
- Strand breaks, or "razlohmachivaniya";
- Cut loops on the edges of the belt;
- Curved braid;
- If the belt is discolored from the sun or from the effects of chemical compounds;
- The availability of spalled areas or cuts.
Belt assembly replace detection of following damages:
- If the belt buckle is not properly fixed or damaged;
- If the unlock button is weakened belt, belt buckle does not release increased the force required to release the belt;
- If the surface of the buckle is cracked;
- If the belt is subjected to tension in the accident.
